About Us

A Family Daycare, an Air

Force Veteran and a Small

Family Farm

Tina’s love of horses began at the age of 10 when “Grandma” Mary first yelled at her to stop feeding her horses through the fence.  A friendship was forged and a passion for horses was born.  Tina is an avid equestrian, training horses and hitting the local trails every moment she can.  While raising her own family, Tina operated a family daycare for 22 years.  More than 500 children have passed through the doors of her daycare over that time.  She has watched as her daycare kids grew up, graduated school, started their own families and returned to her daycare with their babies.  Although her passion for kids remains unfeathered, in December of 2017, Tina decided it was time to retire from daycare to focus more on the farm, spend more time with our four daughters, and spend time for herself.  A new chapter begins… Matt is a 18 year Air Force Veteran and although he grew up in Hawaii, his passion for cows developed during the many summers spent on a cattle ranch in the hills of East Tennessee.  In 2013, Matt and Tina’s friendship blossomed into a wedding proposal a year later and they combined families and forces to expand Tina’s Pig Farm into the MTM Family Farm.  With Tina’s extensive knowledge of swine and Matt’s uncanny ability to build anything and fix everything, the duo flourished and each year wean hundreds of pigs for customers from Yreka to Clear Lake.  Today on their Farm, you’ll find horses, pigs, cows, chickens, ducks and rabbits. Having raised livestock for more than 39 years, Tina has developed a love and a passion for each and every animal.  She’s also had her share of animals passing on due to age, illness, and injury and knows first hand what it takes to deal with a 1200lbs horse or a 650lbs sow. These experiences have inspired her to open One Last Ride for service.  Our horses, pigs and cows are members of our family, loved the same as any one of our dogs.  Loosing one of these members can be emotionally devastating even for the most hardy of individuals.  Tina and One Last Ride is here to help you through the process.  We will safely and professionally load and transport your animal to an approved facility and do so with the utmost sympathy and highest respect for your animal.
